For Remote Demos (as well as face-to-face situations) I
strongly recommend that you go around the virtual room and ask three questions,
at the start of any demo meeting:
1.
What is your name?
2.
What is your job title?
3.
What would you like to accomplish in our session
today?
In addition, for Remote Demos, a nice touch is to also ask
of each named participant on the WebEx or GoToMeeting (or other online tool) participants’ list, “Anyone
else in the room with you?” This helps
to reduce the possibility that participants are undiscovered or otherwise
hiding in the virtual corners of the virtual room…!
